Ophelia Chong recently wrote about email and how virtually everlasting it is. Calen Legaspi (CEO of Orange and Bronze Software Labs) also sent out an email to our office list about email etiquette. Recently, I had to admonish an email list for not having the presence of mind to change the subject header before sending out something that was totally different from the original topic of the thread.

What to do when you can't install VMWare

Wal-Mart has recently been under the microscope for selling really cheap computers with a relatively different linux flavor called gOS. So I decided to go and try out the new OS. First thing I did was download the newest version of VMWare. More specifically, the VMWare Server 2.0 Beta. (Hey! Might as well hit two birds with one stone.) Little did I know I would run into a slight problem. I can't seem to install VMWare on my newly installed Windows XP SP2.

Hey, ScribeFire! Why won't you let me use you?

I have been a ScribeFire user for such a long time now.  But I can't remember whether Drupal came first or ScribeFire.  Nevertheless, I was using ScribeFire back when it was still known as Performancing.  Yes, that long.  In any case, when I moved servers, got a new domain and installed the newest version of Drupal I found myself at a loss.  You see, the new blog now has two accounts.  One I use for administrative purposes and the other I use for blogging purposes.  When I began configuring ScribeFire to post to the new blog, I began getting a connection error.  I could post only when I used my administrator's account.  Today I realized what exactly was happening.  I did the following steps and now I have ScribeFire-Drupal love! PAST POST: Printing to a Windows XP Printer from Ubuntu

This was way back when I was still playing around with an Ubuntu machine. I haven't had the luxury of installing ubuntu again on my laptop since most of the freeware I needed is on Windows XP. Nevertheless, I'm still able to play around with linux on my virtual private server. READ MORE ABOUT IT »
