I have been a ScribeFire user for such a long time now. But I can't remember whether Drupal came first or ScribeFire. Nevertheless, I was using ScribeFire back when it was still known as Performancing. Yes, that long. In any case, when I moved servers, got a new domain and installed the newest version of Drupal I found myself at a loss. You see, the new blog now has two accounts. One I use for administrative purposes and the other I use for blogging purposes. When I began configuring ScribeFire to post to the new blog, I began getting a connection error. I could post only when I used my administrator's account. Today I realized what exactly was happening. I did the following steps and now I have ScribeFire-Drupal love!
To start with, I'm not creating blog content in Drupal. I'm creating story content. Although the Blog API module is activated, it turns out that I also needed to activate the Blog module. Never mind if I'm not even going to use the blog feature. Secondly, I also had to make sure that the account I'm using is also allowed to create blog content.
So, once you have the Blog API module, Blog module and Blog edits checked, I can finally my account normally on ScribeFire. Because I've also allowed Blog content to be created by my account, I now see two options on ScribeFire (blog and story). I just have to make sure that I always choose story.
