I always make it a point that I don't publish more than one post in a single day. Publishing too many articles at once hastens the "expiry" of the other articles. I want to make sure that people read all the latest posts. I sometimes tend to say so many things on one article that by the time they finish it, they might be too tired to read the rest of the stuff I posted with it.
So what I do now is when the muse inspires me to write, I do. Everything. I installed a scheduler module on my Drupal installation to make that each article I write gets published on the day I want it published. I would spread the articles over Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:00 pm (Philippine Time). Tuesdays and Thursdays are for emergency posts that just can't wait for two days.
If you're using Wordpress, it's so much easier. Just adjust the time when you want your post to be published and it won't show up until that time.

With Wordpress it's really easy to set up. The biggest problem is getting enough material together.
